Meet Phoenix Fowler

Phoenix Fowler, LCSW, graduated from the University of Louisville where she received her Master’s of Science in Social Work. Before completing her Masters, Phoenix attended Bellarmine University where she double majored in Art and Psychology. Phoenix has experience working with children in various settings including hospitals, refugee and immigrant resettlement agencies, and in the public school system. When not providing therapy, Phoenix enjoys practicing yoga, listening to Taylor Swift, and hiking with her dog.

Phoenix’s journey to becoming a therapist occurred early on in her life. After being diagnosed at a young age with a learning disability and ADHD she experienced firsthand the struggle and importance of managing mental health in childhood. Phoenix knew she wanted to provide the same support she received growing up to others as they navigate their mental health.

Phoenix’s approach to therapy can be described as creative, playful, and supportive. Phoenix understands that therapy can be scary for children and is intentional to create a space that is both welcoming and safe for kids to explore themselves. Phoenix emphasizes the mind-body connection and gears sessions to teach kids how to listen to their bodies. Phoenix also utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, expressive techniques, play, and mindfulness to assist children in their therapeutic journey.
