Meet Melissa Jobe
LPCA
Hello, I’m Melissa.
If you are trying to hold everything together, while feeling like things are falling apart, you are welcome here. I offer a safe, supportive, and encouraging space where you do not have to navigate this alone. Therapy is a collaborative partnership, and my goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and empowered as you move forward in healing and growth. I work with children, parents, teens, and adults.
My approach is person-centered and grounded in warmth, empathy, respect, and unconditional positive regard. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs and experiences, by incorporating somatic approaches, EMDR, parts-informed, Transactional Analysis (TA), play and creative therapies. I value making a space where clients can build self-awareness, strengthen internal safety, and reconnect with their authentic selves at their own pace.
My path to counseling began in the classroom as a teacher, where I realized my true passion was supporting the hearts and minds of those around me. I understand that life is a beautiful, messy journey of self-discovery. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy biking, hiking, running, and finding peace and grounding in nature and movement. I deeply value time with my family, good music, and yummy food.
Reaching out for help is a brave and courageous step, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
